Progpower Europe 2011

Dear fans and curious music lovers!

It's been a while since our last update, but we are doing perfectly fine! Thanks! We hope all is fine with you guys as well. Let's hope the recesion isn't bringing us down and that we continue to make fantastic new music and enjoy music everyday.

The last months it was quite calm in the Architect's den. We've been easy for a while. We didn't mean to, but it happened. After 2 months no Sky Architect meetings and Sky Archigigs, we picked up where we left things. We kicked ourselves back into the rehearsal room and we've done our first gig since the epic gig in Germany and Lidköping, Sweden. Last saturday (24th of September) we played a support act for the well known guys of 'Agent's of Mercy', in 'de Boerderij', Zoetermeer. FOR PICTURES: here

Next thing coming up is Progpower Europe 2011, which will take place on September the 30st, October the 1st and 2nd in Baarlo, Holland. We'll be the opening act on the 3rd day. Other bands who will play: Seventh Wonder, Symphony X, Barstool Philosophers and many more. Click here to order tickets or find more information.

Next to the live gigging we're still busy with the 3rd album. We hope we will be able to release it somewhere in 2012. We know, it's not really specific, but hey, give us a break ;)

Keep following us on Facebook, Twitter, Reverbnation and find us on Spotify! Thank for the support and spread the word! (Click the 'spread the word' link to post this page directly to your Facebook)

Night of the Prog and Lidköping Art Rock Festival 2011

And finally, it was the day before the legendary Night of the Prog festival. On July the 7th we gathered at Guus' place. Enjoyed a beer, some good music. All to relax before we had to drive all the way to Sankt Goarhausen in Germany. Ofcourse, we couldn't go to bed before 2 o'clock, so it was kind of hard to get up in the morning, but after a while we got in the van to go to Germany! We were so excited that 15 KM before we got to the Loreley rock, our brakes got overheated. Dutch people just are not used to hills and mountains. But we got there and we 'checked-in'.

It's quite a big festival and the organisation behind the festival is so huge, we've never been to a festival like this, as a band. So we arrived and all the other bands brought a complete crew to build up the instruments, tune the guitars, carry the bags and cases, but we are just 5 youngsters....without a crew....so we had to do everything by ourselves. That's not a bad thing, because it's fun to 'be' from the beginning on and do everything ourselves. But it's a long wait, and after all the soundchecks it was time for the first band. During the first band, Martigan, we prepared and got ourselves ready for the gig.

And then, it was time. To go on stage. To show the (+2000) people who we are. What we do. And what we stand for. And we did. We rocked hard and people enjoyed it.

This was absolutely a treat. The cherry on the pie, the hamburger with your fries, the straw with your milkshake, the flower on the fields of grass. It was a great experience, after we've been working so hard the past few years.

So for now to everyone who joined us live @ Loreley, Night of the prog VI:

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING US.

You can watch some pictures here and here!!!! And you can watch some movies here!

Right after the first day of Night of the Prog VI we left Germany and took a long, long drive to Sweden. With cooled down brakes, a satisfied feeling from Night of the Prog VI and a lot of energy we drove towards our favourite spot to write music. Filipstad, Sweden. Not only to write new material, but also to enjoy the wonderful place as it is. The forests, the campfires, the spareribs, the 'no-idea-what-time-it-is'-mentality and fantastic inspiration.

On July the 14th, we had to drive down to Lidköping, for 'Lidköping's Art-Rock festival 2011'. We have been invited a while ago and this day was the day that we played in Sweden for the first time. And a beautiful day it was. Not the weather, actually it was raining like h•ll, but the people who kept listening and enjoying our music, but also music from 3 different bands. A superb experience it was.

So, for all the people who were there, on July the 14th: THANKS FOR JOINING US IN THE WORST WEATHER WE COULD'VE IMAGINED! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
